Borneo blood pythons, or more accurately called Borneo short tailed pythons are the 'medium' sized snake of the blood family Although adults can reach sizes over six feet, most taper off at five feet. As with the other 'blood' species, they are heavy bodied. Another trait that it shares is the variation in color and morphs as seen in the above photo. The Blood Line was the first to produce the 'marbled' morph. Other morphs include super-striped, ghost, and recently in England, an albino popped up. CBB (captive bred and born) borneos tend to do extremely well in captivity, and like the others are usually quite tame. These snakes are very interesting to watch, and display some equally interesting habits in captivity. We are currently working with one pair of these animals and hope to offer well started cbb babies later in 2006. |
